As the internet continues to hype Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk’s impending “cage match” with betting sites already listing odds and fans creating detailed stats sheets for each tech mogul, one party is still hoping the pair will give peace a chance – none other than the Twitter’s exec’s mother, Maye Musk.


On Thursday, June 22, the dietician and model took to her eldest son’s newly-acquired social platform to sound off on the billionaires’ planned brawl, revealing that she is far from on board with their upcoming fight.


“Don’t encourage this match!” Maye tweeted in response to MIT researcher Lex Fridman’s post on the matter, later adding that she may or may not be plotting to sabotage her son’s inevitably viral pursuit.



“Actually, I canceled the fight,” she continued in a subsequent post. “I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case…”


Though Elon was evidently amused with his mother’s remarks, replying with a lone laughing emoji.
